龍血樹屬常綠灌木，原產馬達加斯加。莖幹初生直立，但爾後會因葉片重量而彎斜。

葉線狀披針形，革質有光澤，本種是葉兩側有金黃色縱紋的斑葉品種。

頂生總狀花序，花黃綠色。果實圓形，黃色。

An evergreen shrub in the genus Dracaena, native to Madagascar. Stem erect initially, and then arching due to the weight of the leaves. Leaves linear and lanceolate, leathery and glossy. Terminal racemes with yellow-green flowers. Fruits round and yellow.

性喜高溫多濕，耐旱也耐陰，全日照、半日照均可，以腐植土或富含有機質的砂質壤土為佳，排水力求良好。以種子或扦插繁殖。

It grows in full sun or partial sun conditions and likes high temperature and humidity; tolerant to drought and shade. Humic soils or sandy loam rich in organic matter are preferred. Propagated by seeds or cuttings.
